Water…Lots and LOTS of water. That’s what was flowing through the crawl space of this home near Bailey Cove. This awesome family had just moved to Huntsville and the poor homeowner had been suffering from chronic allergy / sinus conditions from the moment they moved into the home. Unbeknownst to them, their home was making them sick.

We removed the crawl space duct system and disgusting under-floor insulation and took the crawl space back to clean dirt. We trenched around the entire interior perimeter of the crawl space and installed high flow rate drainage tile leading to a new sump pump in a custom basin. We then installed dimpled 25 mil. drain matting before our new 10 mil. (fully sealed) woven vapor barrier. After installing a new dryer vent to the front of the home (so the dryer would stop venting into the crawl space!) we installed a ducted AprilAire dehumidifier with an interior control / monitor and finished it all off with a new fully sealed duct system in the crawl space. Oh, and we added a new air return in their family room to drastically increase comfort and efficiency in the home.
